Wanted: Watershed Partners

We are seeking to develop partnerships with groups actively engaged in watershed research. We are interested in collecting geophysical data in support of hydrological research with the goal of advancing and supporting the use of geophysics in the hydrologic sciences; this is the central objective of the Geophysics Module of the Hydrologic Measurement Facility of CUAHSI.  Our plan is to test a variety of geophysical methods within watersheds, providing the equipment, the experienced users, and data analysis. We would ideally like partners who can provide the following:

1) A watershed where research has been conducted so that there exists a basic understanding of hydrological response.

2) A defined scientific question of interest.

3) Accommodation at or near the watershed for a group of 4-6 people.

4) Funds, or an avenue for applying for funds, to cover our transportation and accommodation costs.

Any one interested in developing such collaboration for summer 2006 should contact:

Please provide a brief statement of interest and a description of the watershed including location, size, terrain, current research and length of time research has been conducted in the watershed.
